Urban Leisure Hotel

This is a well presented hotel. The staff are really friendly and very helpful. The massive plus for us is that it is dog friendly. There are a couple of negative points that stop it getting a 5* rating these are 1. The parking is limited especially when functions are on and with several cars parked across the lines making potential spaces unusable, making it even more limited. 2. For a dog friendly hotel there are no bins out the front for rubbish or doggy bags. 3. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant so limited to 3 tables outside the main restaurant. All in all a pleasant experience and will be returning in the future.

Ten of us stayed for a spa weekend 4th-5th Nov '17. The staff were very friendly, pleasant and helpful. The afternoon tea was fantastic, and the spa staff and treatments were amazing. The spa area lets it down slightly as it's quite a small area, and we were given robes in dribs and drabs throughout the afternoon, apparently due to not being able to dry them in time. The rooms we were given were really nice, and the bed very comfy. The evening meal was a bit of a let down as a new menu had recently been launched and caused a few teething problems with service. So apart from it taking ages to deliver a 3 course meal, the food was delicious. Overall we had a good time away together, and we would stay again.

Used the room, drink and meals package for a Saturday night. Whilst the hotel wasn't busy and the decor is slightly dated, the atmosphere was pleasant and the room was comfortable. The best part were the staff, they made the stay a much better experience, especially Chris Porter, from the bar staff, he was excellent.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at the Urban (we were part of an organised coach trip). Though the location was a bit disappointing... , we couldn't walk anywhere, the hotel itself was perfectly adequate for what we needed (we were a group of 4 ladies). Our rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was lovely. Our biggest praise was for the staff who could not have been more helpful, special thanks to, Laura on reception, manager Chris, Victoria and Simon, restaurant and bar service, the lovely night man whose name we didn't get and last but not least the gorgeous Tania for the amazing spa treatments. The beds are very comfy but sadly no power sockets close to the beds (and not many in the room at all). The room was lovely otherwise. We had a very long wait at reception to check in. The receptionist when she arrived was very apologetic, but other members of staff had seen us and not even acknowledged us. The food in the hotel restaurant was excellent.

Much nicer inside than I expected. Very good conference room although it could have done with sprucing up. Two of the four ladies' toilets were out of order which meant some long queues! Walking through reception and the bar area it looked really nice - not basic as you might expect from the exterior.

Comfortable beds. Clean, serviceable room. Bathroom was a little tired but clean. Nice toiletries provided and enough for my family of 4. Breakfast was nice, too. All in all, a pleasant overnight stay and only minutes away from the A1 (without the noise).

Well at the time I left my review, the average score for the Urban Hotel in Grantham was 3.6 out of 5 stars, making it a little above average. I would certainly agree with that! Stayed there whilst working in Easton, the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. On my first night there I went for a swim, the pool was very clean there was a also a hot tub any gym facilities which were impressive. Had a steak in the restaurant, only an 8oz but it was very tasty and cooked to my liking! Room was very clean all the facilities good and very comfortable. Really served a purpose and I would recommend it for sure.
